Well I guess it is time for Annie to leave the new site she joined a month ago. That is OK. She joins a site, is comfortable and happy there, and shares a lot with her fellow posters. Then there comes a time when they follow down different paths, and it is time for her to leave. She doesn't want their path, they don't want hers. There is always sadness for Annie at that point, a tear is shed, because she has become attached to her fellow posters. But we have been doing this so frequently over past 6 months, that the attachment is not as great. The mist of sadness clears quickly, and she is up for new adventure of internet.

Her beautiful love affair with the right wing is over. She loved them, they loved her, she learned a great deal. But she will now have to find a path which includes both right and left. As Huey Long astutely said some years ago, "the next time fascism comes, it will come from the left." Which is just what happened. Annie saw it, but her left-wing friends did not, because they only looked for it on the right. She had to find people willing to see it, and only the right was willing to see it. So she joined the right. Stopping fascism in her country was her single goal.

And so she overlooked everything else, to achieve that goal.

But for some reason she doesn't want to go on overlooking everything else. Which is fine. She has overlooked it for 8 years, it is always good to have a change.

There is no way she will return to the arms of the left wing, she saw thru the illusions there too clearly. But there are things there she agrees with, she never departed from some of her beliefs. If love of liberty is in the right wing, and love and compassion for all is in the left wing, she will have both. As for peace, she learned both want that. The problem emerged on her site when she championed a Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich ticket. She pointed out, rightly so, that the anti-establishment right and the anti-establishment left, would get behind this ticket. And naturally she loved the idea of uniting right and left for what is best.

It's odd because as recently as 6 months ago, she would have overlooked anti-Kucinich posts in response to her lauding Kucinich on her right-wing sites. But yesterday she just didn't want to.

Suddenly yesterday she didn't want to overlook anything. She didn't want to overlook the anti-immigration posts, she didn't want to overlook anything.

Instead she just wanted out of there. She no longer fit in. Which shows that fitting in comes from desire. When she wanted to fit in, she overlooked everything she did not agree with. Now she no longer overlooks it and now she no longer fits in.

A circle has been completed from 8 years ago when she first became open minded about the right-wing.

And it is turning point for Annie. She won't go back into the left-wing. She has left the right-wing. She is now on her own path. She will try to find others on the net who share this path. This will be new adventure

I think it is great. Life is an adventure, it is meant to be lived adventurously. And I personally endorse a Ron Paul/Kucinich ticket. Let these two fine men join forces. Those on the right who won't stomach Dennis Kucinich and those on the left who won't stomach Ron Paul, are free to vote elsewise. But this is an enlightened inclusive ticket and I like it.

Most on her site welcomed Kucinich to the ticket, but it was her new posting partner/friend who flatly rejected it. Annie had loved his brilliant mind, but I warned her he was confused. I am not sorry she was so dismayed yesterday when she saw it for herself, because I knew it was time to move to a new way for her.

Late afternoon

Yes I have a few things to add on the topic above.

At first this was all about outcome for Annie. She wanted Ron Paul in the White House next year, she believed that was the way to save her country. Once the primary season began and particularly after Ron Paul was in a debate last week, so she could study him so carefully (her knowledge of him came from reading his writings, she does not know the guy very well up close and personal). She learned a great deal about him from watching him with such care during the debate. And she loved what she learned. She loves him. She is completely confirmed in wanting him to be President.

But something else happened. Because of the way she watched him, when it was over, and particularly the next morning when she woke up, she had panoramic view. It was like she had watched him from high up in the air, and was now looking down at it all. And the odd result of all this is she became secure and relaxed. She assumed she was secure and relaxed because she had realized the inevitability of his Presidency.

But this isn't so. Nothing is inevitable at this moment about the election. It is all up for grabs in every possible way. Yet something did stir her about connecting minds with this lovely and completely unusual man. That is what brought her to such a high vantage point. A vantage point which would make her happy and relaxed about the election. What she actually saw was the fact that this man is running, this particular person, changes everything. Before that she was enthusiastic for him because he represented the ideas she wanted. Anyone who would have represented them with honesty and integrity she would have been happy with. It had never occurred to her to look at the man himself. And what she saw delighted her to her soul level. His quietness, his gentleness, his unassuming-ness, his humility. His realness, and his kindness.

And without realizing it, that began off her understanding that this is about process, not outcome. His loveliness guarantees it. And this is why she has stopped campaigning so hard for him to be elected, and is relaxed and serene about watching the process. And even more importantly, why the process has started up in her. She has begun to go thru changes.

And all the events recounted above are the start of it.
