Here is the report received today about the party yesterday
12/30/07

we played a lot of games and everyone enjoyed..

i found one on the internet.. you tell 3 things about yourself.. 2 are true one is a lie. they havta figure out what is the lie.. bing..

i said..

"i took off my dress in college in front of an audience."
"i plotted the overthrow of a country"
"i sang on the radio.."

Most people thought the taking off the dress was the lie..

but actually i was in a play the absurd -
when i walk into the house and the couple says "please take off your coat.."
i say "don't mind if i do.."
they say "please take off your dress.."
i say "don't mind if i do." (i had a full-length slip underneath)

Sammy said.. [Sam is Helen's 17 year old son]
"i went out with a model..
"i've had the same girlfriend since 6th grade..
"i went clubbing.."

the stories were fun to listen to.. and everyone got

one game we played one person is chosen as the murderer, as they wink at you, you pretend to die..
the person who leaves the room must figure out who's the murderer..

and the last game i made up..
tell something..
either the most dangerous thing you ever did..
the bravest thing you ever did..
the most absurd thing you ever did
the nicest thing you did for a relative you don't like.. (no one chose that one)

my friend Charlie came with beads to be strung on a string.. each person had to say something nice about me and put it on the string.. for me to wear.

it worked for about 20 people..
any larger and it was too much..
it went from about 4 to 9..

it was a lovely group of people..
some i had just met.. and invited them cause they seemed nice..
one couple who are really lovely people.. i thought they'd not come cause they are so busy with stuff here.. but they showed up..

it really went well.. i was relaxed which of course was the most important..
at first i was not relaxed when i started the games..
but then i relaxed.. so everyone else felt relaxed..
